Through an incredibly challenging 2020, you showed up for vulnerable women and families. Because of your support, we celebrated our most impacting year yet, with almost 10,000 women and families receiving essential pregnancy help throughout the network.
However, the sad reality is that many women throughout Australia & New Zealand don't have access to a local pregnancy centre. These women are experiencing perinatal isolation, distress and self-doubt right now. So, in response, we need your help to achieve a BIG vision;
‘Accessible Pregnancy Help Australasia-wide’
Almost every week, we have 1-2 individuals or groups asking for help and advice on starting a pregnancy help centre. We have centres in the planning stages in Armadale WA, Wagga Wagga NSW, Queanbeyan ACT, Townsville and Mackay QLD! And many more centres in consideration for neighbourhoods throughout Australia & NZ (Darwin & Katherine NT, Mnt Gambier SA & Hamilton NZ to name a few!). We congratulate Life House Gympie and Eva’s Place Kingaroy who both launched their new centres in April!
Once a centre is established, our statistics show that an additional 500 women will receive help per year on average. That's 1000 hearts that could be in your local neighbourhood!
We urgently need to give our isolated sisters access to pregnancy help by planting new start-up centres (HUBS OF LOVE) where services are currently unavailable.
Our goal is to ensure countless women & families doing it tough throughout their pregnancy can access local uplifting support. Many individuals and families face more significant economic challenges or homelessness due to last year's crisis. Now is the time to respond and be present with even greater love!
But we can't do this without your help. Our official JUNE appeal aimed to raise $35,000 by EOFY 2021 (completion of phase 1) which we exceeded. Thank you! Nothing is impossible! Now we continue raising funds to achieve the #hubsoflove Project in fullness with an overall goal (completion of phases 2 & 3)- $200,000.
Your funds will go towards equipping and empowering inspired groups around Australia to swiftly & easily birth a pregnancy help centre (concrete, mobile or virtual) in their neighbourhood by developing a Start-a-Centre Toolkit. The toolkit will consist of an online 'understanding pregnancy support seminar', a step-by-step start-a-centre guide, online 'client care training course', policy & procedure templates, monthly live pregnancy help consultant training & ongoing mentoring support.
Together we can ensure that women can access the support (in their local neighbourhood) they need to flourish in motherhood!
